Is it just me or does getting your paycheck make you sad too? I know I should be happy I'm getting money, and I'm very thankful to even have a job its just everytime I get paid, I take the bills and necessities out and I'm broke again. I just wanna be able to buy my baby things and its like everytime I get paid there's nothing left over from bills to even get something cheap like $10 recieving blankets or something. I feel like such a bad parent at times it makes me worried that when baby does come how the hell am I going to be able to afford taking care of him/her? I would give them everything without a doubt, even if that means I can't eat to feed my baby or get them diapers. I know I'm going to have to get a second job then I worry about how ill be able to watch my child grow if mommies constantly working. I'm too selfish too give my baby up for adoption, although they would have a better life if someone with money could take care of them.. I don't know I'm just so stressed
lol you sound like my dh... he sees his paycheck and cry his heart out lol... no matter how much extra hours he does.. hes left with nothing at the end.. on top of that he has to pay for his brothers wedding (ugh)... so he is unable to save single penny for him... we were lucky because he kept saving some money as soon as he found out i m expecting...so we were able to buy enough but still went over the top and he complains about it all the time.. and he feels more horrible when i pick up something for my lil boy and he has to tell me to put it back lol... but i know days will turn around as soon as his brother will get married we will be able to buy more stuff for our kiddos
Oh wow he's paying for your brothers wedding? His brother must be very appreciative that's really cool. I'm just waiting on that income tax cuz I know I can pay bills on my own but I informed my bd that his income check is mine and were taking both our checks and baby shopping til we drop!
I know the feeling :(( do you have any family or friends that can help like that have not hand me downs but decent baby items they can sale you cheap or give to you...I know its not ideal esp for baby number 1 but when money comes easier to come by than go and buy new things...the crib I use all my nieces and son used it before my daughter...all the walkers and such are from previous babies and look online for coupons off baby clothes and such...I got my daughters crib bedding brand new for only $25 so good deals are around :)) good luck love and I wish you the best
and taxes for all have just one up with the payroll tax, I am sorry life gets tough when one is trying to make ends meet , have you tried some of the consignment stores for baby things, dont give up.. your baby will be happy being with you ...
Oh no, I have no problem with hand me downs at all! Especially when baby is going to be growing out of them so fast. I have a sister in law with 5 kids, she's getting rid of a lot of her baby stuff since my lil nephew emmit is growing out of them. She also has little girl stuff from my baby niece. She's actually just started getting rid of them to take to good will before she found out I was pregnant.. My boyfriend's sister is also giving us a crib and a changing table. I will have plenty of hand me downs, don't get me wrong. I just let myself get too worked up over not being able to buy things for my baby now. Not as much as I'd like anyway. I know life is rough I just let it get to me sometimes and I start having doubts that I'll be good enough mother for my baby. I know we won't be the richest family, but then again lifes not all about money. I just gotta keep my head up if not for me then for my child I'm carrying
Put an ad in the local paper under free Classifieds, for anything you need, offer to pay any amount you can afford you will be surprised how many Moms will be glad to pass on clothes and toys to help you ...Good Luck come and chat on the different baby forums on MH
