I met mine at a party. We had mutual friends and knew OF each other but had never met. We were mad no one had ever tried to fix us up after we hit it off. The rest is history, 16 years together, two kids . . . bliss.
On the street....literally! We both lived in the same Singles Apt. Complex. He asked if I wanted to go to a party and I said ok ( it was pretty safe back then and the party was within the complex.) And the rest is history...... married 42 1/2 yrs after knowing each other for just 5 short months! I think it was FATE ♥
Wow, Linda. That is very cool!! Yes, sounds like fate. I like to hear stories like yours as it is much more romantic than mine. I practically plotted out if my husband was the one I wanted to marry. Poor guy . . . I was quite businesslike. But all's well in the end.
wishing you many more years together of happiness!
Thanks specialmom, this may be more than fate. A week before I met my husband I prayed specifically for "the one" right down to age(no baggage), beliefs, personality, maturity, and probably a few other things I would want to have in common...so even though I call it fate, I strongly believe that prayer had everything to do with it. I was 23 and he was 19.
