thank god this election is about over

am i being unamerican being glad that this election is about over.. i dont care who u vote for as long as u vote but it just seems that this election is never ending, and i have had enough anyone else feel the way i do????

I hear you big time. I'm weary of all of it. I hate politicians! I hate the lies, the smooth talk, the personal attacks, the underhand moves, the slander, the promises that you know won't be kept. I hate it all!
It seems worse this election too, or am I just getting old? lol

I am Canadian and our news covers all the American election.  It is hard for us to fathom how long they go on.  From the time an election is called in Canada (we don't have set ones and no limits on how long a Prime Minister is in power but must have an election within 5 years of last one) it seldom goes more than 60 days.  We just had a federal election last week that ran for 5 weeks.

Congrats to the MN Senate candidates. They have successfully bashed each other to the point that I'm sick of both and most likely going to vote for the independent guy.

Sweden may be kind of neat.  If only I knew some people over there. I just know some of my ancestors came from there.  From what I've seen it looks like a beautiful place.

Though I guess convenience wise, Canada is closer and probably easier to get to than Sweden. :P

Like Trudie, I'm not an American but Australian and our political elections and terms of office are similar, for which I am gratefull. We have huge coverage of the American Election process here and I'm so over it, vote already and stop spending that obscene amount of money on it!!

No offence intended to America or Americans (my sister and brother are Americans) but what a long, drawn out and highly expensive process.

I couldn't agree more! Especially with that last statement. I think in MN alone our election and negative ads topped as one of the most expensive mud slinging campaigns.

I had a good laugh on the news when Norm said he was going to withdraw his negative ads that he endorsed... Then wait a few minutes later and: What's this?  Another bash against AL Frank!

O-kay........... With all the money spent to fling mud, makes me wonder what other things that money could better suit?  Maybe fix the deficit? Maybe that would make a big dent in our national debt.
