Transplant Ethics

Is it wrong to lie about the seriousness of a patients condition to speed up the transplant process? What would be the arguments and underlying ethical principles.

This would probably be impossible to do, to lie, I mean. The reason for that would be because it is not one person who makes the decision about transplantation; there are several people involved and you would not get anyone to 'speed up the process by lying'. Even if one person would do it, no one else would. Transplants are way to hard to come by. Often times there is a chaplain/minister as well as a hospital social worker who are also involved with the transplant team which is made up with doctors and nurses.
