MSK and painkillers

I have asked the MSK forum different questions and I am thankful for the information received.
I will appreciate very much - if possible - to have more information about 3 main questions posted.

MSK and painkillers (others than Methadone)
a) What type of painkillers have you been on?
b) What have been/is the results?

Thank you.

Hi,  my MSK is pretty good .. so all I've been on is Mobic (meloxicam) actually for my ankle problem, but helps with the kidney pain, too.

a) Toradol (KETOROLAC 10MG TABLETS), Dilauded (HYDROMORPHONE HCL 2MG TABLETS) or Demerol (PROPOXYPHENE-N 100 W/ APAP 650 TABS). I take a Zofran(ONDANSETRON 4MG TABLETS) with them for stomach upset and an ativan (LORAZEPAM 1MG TABLETS) to help relax and let the stone pass.

b) Toradol really helps when a stone is stuck or actively moving. It is an NSAID, not a narcotic so I prefer it. It is not safe to take more than 5 days at a time. The rest of the time I would take a demerol, if it did not help I would take a dilauded. If that did not work I would head to the ER. I have not had to rely on these lately!
