My stone is 85% calcium oxalate and the other 15% is phosphate of some sort .. maybe diphosphate or mono or something?

I read online that the phosphate component may be from a UTI .. I had one for mos. w/o knowing it, etc.  But I will know more when I get a copy of the actual report and when they get back the results of my 24hr urine and then talk to the doc directly.

At least it was a stone I caught LOL and not lint or something LOL!

I found the answer in this great website

http://www.urostonecenter.com/anatomy.asp

It's a combo calcium oxalate/phosphate stone and it tells all about it ..

They say the serum for calcium may be normal but + increase via urine ... so we have to see what the urine says.

Hi,
Hiya, have been meaning to post a note for a while but have been feeling a bit grotty, anyway, if you have a look on the urologychannel website it has a great deal about the make up of stones....from what I read calcium oxalate/phosphate stones are usually found when there is a metabolic problem....there is more info, it includes Vit D as well, but this dammed ADD don't help my memory,lol...hope you are well.

Hugs,
Sam x
