"gel" in urine?

I was diagnosed with MSK about 5 years ago.  For about that time I've had what I describe as "gel" in my urine almost every day.  It comes and goes in amounts, but it's almost always there.  Years ago a nephrologist told me that it was calcium collections that hadn't yet hardened; that it is basically a soft kidney stone.  Since then, though, I've wondered if that's true.  No doctor I've seen has ever heard of that.  I'm wondering if anyone else has this gel.  Have you ever had it tested or diagnosed?
