Menopause is very real.  It is a downward level of female hormone levels.  Doctors used to prescribe a drug or two to let women have a synthetic (fake) hormone level so they wouldn't go through the change as fast.  It did not actually improve health because high sustained hormones, at least synthetic ones, can help cancers grow.  My change process was easy; I don't think I ever had a high level of whichever the maternal hormone is.  I think women that had that one in high levels have a rougher time when production stops because it's a bigger change.  It's not in their heads.  The symptoms are very real and there are reasons for those symptoms.  Exercise, being fit and having muscle, being outside in hot and cold temperatures seems to help the body cope.

What do you mean by victims of menopause?  Do you mean, does every woman go through it (should she live so long)?  Yes.  Do you mean, does it have to be difficult?  Probably not.  Do you have a good doctor?
