15 day cycle; perimenopause; out for the count?

doc, i'm 40 years old. tubal reversal oct 07.  ttc since then, utilizing first vitex and later, hearing it can help egg quality, dhea.  made myself a guinea pig but hadn't seen ANY women trying dhea stating it caused anovulation.  2nd month of dhea i had a 40 day, day 28 ovulation, cycle.  next two months have been anovulatory, complete with alternating ewcm -even when flow started.  nausea and sore nipples as well.  none of these are even minutely typical for me.  last two cycles were not as long as that one.  ceased dhea first anovulatory cycle.  started vitex again this cycle, aug 1, and NOW my temps during the follicular phase are higher than ANY in last 3 cycles (98.23 pretty much last week).  what is going on??  could i just be out of eggs?!  barring that, will i ovulate in the near future?  why is my temp consistently high NOW when even during the luteal phase they wouldn't reach 98 consistently (they used to during luteal, of course)?  vitex didn't cause this when i took it before.  i'm at my wits end as at 40 1/2, with no insurance coverage for fertility (ivf is OUT of the question), i really desire a child with current dh.
CD 14.  this morning I had cramping!!!  I’ve had nausea for two days.  It’s like that one time I had a 19 day cycle.

Symptoms:
• Hair falling out more
• Nausea
• High temps follicular
• Weepy today; mood changes; irritability
• Also symptoms of hypothyroid but I think my thyroid is fine?
• Vitex not kicked in yet?
• Out of eggs?  No ovulation
• Why periods despite no ovulation?  Why one very light and one not?
• Total fogginess – forgot exit and was on wrong highway!!!!   For 15 mins!

CD 15 – Started full flow. 15 day cycle.  Can I be out of eggs completely?  (I mean, quality eggs?  Or eggs period, I suppose).  I really want to conceive with  my own eggs....
