Abnormal Bleeding
I am 49 years old and haven't had a period for 14 months, and it was very rare 2 years before that as well.  Then suddenly I started bleeding, but it's not a normal period, just like blood clots.  Is that normal?  I assumed I was beginning menopause, but is bleeding after 14 months normal?

HI,
Bleeding after 14 months of absent menses can be considered post menopausal bleeding. This is not a good sign. You need to consult a gynaecologist for a thorough evaluation. An examination, Pap smear and an ultrasound scan will help make the diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
