Anxiety

I am having a LOT of anxiety as well, causing some agorophobia. I refused to get addicted to xanax, and have sufferred with anxiety. I keep telling myself when the hormones balance out, I will be glad I stuck to this, but in the meantime....

I am seeing a Naturopathic who has put me on some supplements that she says will take 2-3 cycles before the results show.

Progest E is good for anxiety, or so I've been told.

Usually at this stage of life, it is not just peri menopause. Between peri menopause, thyroid and adrenal problems, it is no wonder I am a total mess.  More than likely each of you have other glandular problems as well. Throw in HORRIBLE IBS, and life is just not much fun anymore.  I just wish it came with an end date so I can know when I can get my life back.

This is just a reminder that we do not have as much control as we like to believe.

In the meantime, I wait ....

Thanks for letting me know. I was going to the health food store tomorrow.

I tried ground flax seed, and it caused a blockage, and i drink well over half my body weight in water.

I am taking some natural products and they seem to be helping with the anxiety. I still wake up all night long, but the adrenaline rush(panic feelings) are not there. PRAISE GOD!!! that was worse than horrendous.

Trying to decipher this hormonal imbalance thing is almost a full time job.

Following up. The Salba IS stopping me up. I have tried drinking more water but it's not helping. I'll go back to my psyllium husk caps, they were working. I take 4 every morning with coffee or hot tea.

I am finding you must drink a lot of water with the Salba. It absorbs a lot as it is and to make it work, you have to drink a glass just after. The good thing is, it's supposed to absorb some of your fat calories. Come on with that!

These are even MORE gellinous but so far so good. I take 2 teaspoons of that and chew it up (one at a time) and 2 psyllium husk caps and working like a charm, plus hopefully getting all the heart and immune benefits of the Salba.

ok, thanks. I did try flax seeds, ground, and they caused a major blockage, and was drinking plenty of water. not sure why they did, unless it is because they are so gellinous

Yes and it's online too. Come to find out, it's white Chia seeds which you can buy a little cheaperand also at the health food store. I got the ground, very easy to chew and it has a nice nutty flavor kind of like flax seed. I have been a LOT more regular since.

I answered you above but also for IBS have you tried Salba? It's a natural grain from
South America, supposed to do wonders for digestion and many other ailments. I just got some today so can't tell you what I have found yet. See anxiety answers above
