Anyone else out there like me?

So, I had my dr. check my hormone levels, thyroid, etc. since I was SURE I was in perimenopause based on the long list of symptoms that fit exactly everything I have researched about perimenopause.  Tests came back normal!  I am thankful for the normal results but confused......can I still be perimenopausal with normal hormone levels?  If so, how do I treat this??  I want to use a natural progesterone cream but wonder if I should since my hormones were normal when I had the testing done.

THANKFULLY, I do not get hot flashes.  I have had anxiety, lightheadedness and several other symptoms (those are the most bothersome for me).  Do you suffer from them?

I don't really have a burning question at this point......feel free to share info you think may be helpful though....if not applicable to me, at least it may be for others reading :)

My doctor said when I get a period again, I may have clots with it.  That's because of not having periods every month, it kind of makes it bad when you have it.

I haven't had one since July.

Do you have another question?  I may have an answer to help you out.  I'm good at asking my doc questions. LOL!!

Do you get the hot flashes?

Thanks for your comments.  Good information!

I am still getting my period though it has been changing for some time now.....one month isn't so bad, then the next month the flood gates open!  Ha :) The long list of the other symptoms are the ones that made me go researching what the heck was going on!

Thanks again for sharing what your doctor had told you - I appreciate it :)

My thyroid tests are perfectly normal.  I was just talking to my doc at my physical last week.  She said you can do the bloodwork for FSH but one time it may show you're in menopause and the next time it may come back normal.  She said they really only need to do that test is if you want to go on hormone therapy and have came through peri-menopause.

I use Estroven every night for myself.

Your gyn will be able to tell you how far into peri-menopause you are.  When they do the exam, they check the tissue.  If it still looks really good, then you've only just begun.

I presume you're not getting periods very much?
