It is very difficult to say what is causing the bleeding from what you are telling me. There are many causes for bleeding after the menopause. If the blood is also coming from the urine, it could be a bladder or kidney infection. There are many other things as well such as a polyp or abnormal buildup of the uterine lining. It is important to see your doctor, get a urine test and possibly an ultrasound of the uterus or a sample of the uterine lining called an endometrial biopsy. While many things that can cause the bleeding are benign and easily treated, some causes can be more serious and that is why it is important to be seen.
