Her doctor might want to do a hysteroscopy also, which involves looking into the uterus with a narrow telescope to see if the problem can be seen and removed.
After her doctor has the results, it should be possible to look at the medicines she is taking, recheck her thyroid hormone levels and check her blood sugar levels and come up with the reason.
