Bleeding and cramping for 11 days

I posted before when I thought my period was just 3 days of spotting and I was overjoyed.  Well lo and behold bleeding started 11 days ago and won't quit. On day 9 I passed a large (2 In) long piece of tissue, not a clot but I think it was a membrane. I am still bleeding. What's going on? The chance of me having a miscarriage is slim and none, but I'm afraid I may have to have another D&C if the bleeding doesn't end.  I've had 3 d&c's already in my life, they are inconvenient, painful and expensive. An endometrial biopsy can not be done in an office setting with me, my cervix is stenotic. Are there any medications to stop bleeding and regulate a normal cycle in me? I am 54 and perimenopausal.

A. If you keep bleeding, your doctor might want to check some blood tests to see why.  They might also want to do an ultrasound of your uterus and ovaries.  If the lining is > 4mm and you continue to bleed, they might want to do another D&C.  But if it is < 4 millimeters in thickness, they might give you hormones.  If your last D&C was in the past year or so and it was benign, they might still want to give you hormones to see if it works to stop the bleeding.  Once everything is under control, you might want to consider staying on hormones for a few months. I am 36 yrs old. White female.For the last 3 months, I have passed what appears to be a sac during my period. It is a stretchy skin like sac with a hole in it. It has a shiny purpleish color, although this month it was smaller and lighter in color. I took the first one to my general practitioner. He didnt know what it was. I saved this months and was going to take it to my OBGYN, but when I called his office, they said he is out for 3 weeks and to go to urgent care if I had a problem. Should I freeze it? It is in my fridge in a plastic cup with a sealed lid. Does anyone know what it is? I can not be pregnant.
