Whether or not you can have kids will depend on many things. Your age when you try, any problems you might have and any the man you attempt to have kids with might have. For now you are having some spotting and it seems your main issue is whether or not there is a problem both for your health and for your reproductive health. The fact that you are having regular periods is a good thing. Many young women have some spotting and that could be normal for you.
To answer your questions with certainty would require an exam and some testing. The best thing for you to do is to talk with your doctor and to have an exam. He/she might want to get an ultrasound or some blood work. There is a good chance that there is not a problem but simply an annoying symptom of spotting. If the spotting is a problem for you or just worries you, there are a number of solutions your doctor can suggest such as going on the birth control pill for a short time. It is unlikely to be harming your chances of having children.

I just went to an OB/GYN and she did not say much but did request that I get a sonogram. So I will get that in 2 wks. I am limited on medications I can take due to other meds.
Has any doctor suggested you take the pill? I'm not an MD, but I'm a 48 year old woman who has had many periods. Make sure you are seeing a good OB/GYN. I started having clots in my 30's, and other friends my age had the same thing. The pill will help your period be more consistent and lighter most of the time. You need a good, understanding OB/GYN. If you lived in middle TN I could recommend an awesome one for you.
Congratulations for being 27 and having never had sex. People like you are few these days.
