Cramps and Swelling

by JB18, Jun 15, 2008 07:13AM
I haven't had a period in 24 months, but have started having cramps in the last couple of weeks. My uterus feels swollen and I am having slight discharge. Sex is uncomfortable. Any advice? Why would I be cramping without a period?

There are lots of reasons for cramping. If this is a new symptom, speak with your doctor. They might want to do an ultrasound of your pelvis and an internal exam. Sex can be uncomfortable both because of the cramping, but also because the ovaries are enlarged, the vagina is dry, or other reasons.

An exam and possibly an ultrasound should be able to help you find out the source of your problems and help you to get relief.
