Day 12, after stopping Provera, no bleeding yet

I have posted a question "TTC in perimenopause". Well , my prolactin, TSH and FSH came out to be normal. However, my doctor did not tested my E2. She put me on provera 10mg for 10 days. Its been 12 days, since I stopped the pill but haven't started to bleed yet, though I am expriencing a lot of greenish, yellowish discharge,a little bit of nausea and tender breasts. Can you please tell me , how long I have to wait for my periods to start and if they did not then what to do next? Thanks.

A. You should be having a uterine bleed in the next few days if it is going to happen. Most already would have had the bleed.  If you don’t bleed, it likely means your estrogen level is low so the lining of the uterus is too thin to bleed after taking progesterone (Provera).  For you to bleed will require both estrogen and progesterone. Something like the birth control pill for 7 – 10 days should cause a bleed.
