Endometrial thickening and ovarian cysts

I am 43 and have 3 children, until 2 months ago I have had no problems with periods, they always appeared like clockwork and were really quite light, they have been unchanged for the last 10 years at least. i never had problems with conceiving my children and had good regular pregnancies and births...lucky me! the month before last I had a really heavy period, and again this month it was really extraordinary, no real pelvic pain, but a feeling of soreness quite low down. After 10days of 10 super tampons every 24 hours plus thick towels, having to get up in the night etc my GP gave me a script for 3 Norethisterone every day for 10 days, which stopped the bleeding in 24 hours...hooray! 2 days after the beeding stopped i went for an ultraosound which I had vaginally. It was found that my endometrium is thickened and measures 12mm, and I have 2 cysts on my left ovary of around 2 cm each. The left ovary is over 3X the vol of the right.I have also had a blood test. The blood test has come back as within the noraml parameters for hormones blood count and iron. The report by the radiologist, whom I have never seen and doesn't have a detailed history has come back as normal! The GP hasn't seen the films of the ultrasound and in the radiologists report he didn't even report the amount of thickening, just said it was normal. It is my understading that even though I am not post menopausal 12mm thickness IS abnormal and that 2X 2cm cysts are also not entirely normal. Am I being overly worried, or should I really be concerned here? Is a radiologist who has never set eyes on me really the right person to give a gynae diagnosis? Should I seek a second opinion? Or is watchful waiting a 'good call' at this stage?  I am reallly worried. I am in really robust health normally, and fit and active for my age, though could probably do with losing a few kg, but am not obese.
