dily, that's great, I'm so glad you found them helpful.

BTW here is an interesting study that was mentioned on the early menopause board:

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/health/articles/061031/31iron.htm

(Supplementing with iron needs to be done with doctor supervision though, because taking too much can have bad consequences.   I have started taking some blackstrap molasses every day instead of iron pills because I had low ferritin).

It's too bad I can't edit my posts.

The thread I should have pointed you to is this one, scroll down to "Marci's" story about pregnancy in spite of early menopause:

Of course I don't know anything about any of this - I've just been doing a lot of searching lately and thought these threads might be helpful.  I've also been reading that women who DO use donor eggs are consistently extremely happy in the end.

Also sterling, keep in mind that these women are all talking about their DAY THREE FSH levels - everyone's FSH goes way up in the middle of a cycle & you didn't say when you were tested.

hi sterling,

Here is a board for women with high FSH trying to have a baby:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/209394/

Here is a thread about women who had a baby with very high FSH levels:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/209394/thread/1163574358/

And just in case, here is a board for women who are going through early menopause:    http://www.earlymenopause.com/

These boards offer a lot of information and support.

best wishes,

bonnie
(by the way I'm not the 'bonnie' on either of those boards)

A. Your tests strongly suggest you are in menopause, or at least near it. The bright side is that you do have a son. Having another child might still be possible but it might require a different approach. You might want to see an infertility expert and talk about egg donation.  In that situation, another woman will allow you to have one or more of her eggs and they can be put with your partner
