I also was having severe menopausal symptoms (everyone in the book) for months and my doctor told me my hormone levels were normal. I had to beg him for hormone replacement therapy which made me symptom free and back to my old self.
I do not know why doctors are not more informed about menopause. It is not NORMAL because we do not feel NORMAL. Perimenopause can start at any age. I was on natural progesterone cream for 10 years before I entered full menopause at the age of 48. I am now 59 and still on bioidentical hormone therapy. I will only stop if I remain symptom free. Life is too short to live miserably with night sweats, mood swings , itchy skin and no sleep.
You are certainly having hormonal imbalances and an endocrinologist may be able to help you.
Good Luck !!!

Its the most informative site ive found on anything Menopause.
I,m 51 so my blood test did come back that i was in Peri but ive had such bizzare, frightening symptoms that arent listed on the 34 menopause symptoms list that i thought i must have a brain tumour or some undiagnosable rare disease ...I thought i was dying (still do sometimes) If i let my thougths get the better of me. But this site was a godsend for me and there are many many woman experiencing the same things.
I can do hot flashes and night sweats..those are uncomfortable but managable.I cant do the buzzing in my head..the feeling like ive stuck my finger in an electrical outlet...yea really!! Its like every nerve in my body has come out to play. Those are the symptoms they dont list or tell you about..those are the ones that make you feel like your gonna die any minute..But i,m not alone..
Check it out.
you will have a hard time convincing god, em i mean docters, into placing blame on perimeno by just symtoms, they will tell you to see a phychiatrist or write you a script for anti-deppressants.... they think they know it all...
hi :) I had the same results 3 yrs ago when my periods decided to go out of whack! I began having very lengthy periods and heavy flooding that lasted up tp 3 weeks. Before that, my periods were always normal and on time.
I was given provera to stop the bleeding and it worked perfectly, as well as made me feel great mood-wise!
I have been tested in every way to rule out any conditions or problems that would cause my periods to be so heavy and last for so long. But nothing has resulted from them.
Now, I have spent over 3 yrs living with these messed up cycles that often leave me where I cannot leave my house. I have now began having frequent panic attacks as well as numerous other symptoms associated with perimenopause. Yet my dr just cannot believe this is what's causing it bc I am 'only 37 yrs old'.
It's so frustrating!
