Hormone Levels Normal

Hormone Levels Normal

I recently had some blood work done and the Gyne. said my hormone levels are normal.  I did not have a period for June, July or August (April & May were 1 week late and very light).  My Gyne put me on Provera and I had a period this month.  I guess my questions is can I be perimenopausal and have normal hormone levels?

Thanks,

Hi,
I was also getting the "normal" findings UNTIL I did a saliva hormone test.  It was given at a certain time of my cycle.  All the other tests were blood drawn and not at any particular time of the month.  What a shock to find out that YES my hormones were out of whack!  (sarcasm)  I am now taking progesterone every month.

I live in IL and my doctor works with a women's clinic in Madison, WI called Women's Health America.  I tested throught their Restore program.  All bio-identical and made throught their pharmacy in a prescription made to MY needs.  Not just a birth control pill thrown at me.

Keep pushing for an answer.  Only you know if you aren't feeling right in that department.
Good luck!

Thanks for the input.  I too live in IL and will be checking to the Restore program.  I think when you are dealing w/hormones it would be best to have them specific for my needs.

Again thanks!!

Hi, speak to your GYN about it.  My insurance picked up the cost so yours may, too.

Where in IL are you?  I'm in Rockford.  Used to live in Villa Park.

Take care!
