Hormone levels tested normal

Hormone levels tested normal

I am 48 and have been experiencing the dizziness, vertigo, anxiety and have had 2 panic attacks .   I went to GYN and had my hormone levels tested and she says I am not in menopause yet.  My question is can the hormones levels be different from one week to the next and when she tested me maybe they were normal just that day.  I told her my symptoms and never once did she talk about perimenopause but after reading all these post I am pretty sure that is what it is.  I thought I was going insane!  I have seen several doctors and all test came back normal, (like blood pressure, blood suger, anemia, thyroid)  These symptoms come on especially strong right around my period.

My periods once very regular have become slightly (like 10 days off) irregular and much much more heavy with clots !

I am looking for natural things I can do to remedy this situation, scared of HRT and it's links to breast cancer!

Thanks,

Yes, hormone levels can be different from one week to the next.  It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask to have the rest repeated, maybe right around your period when the symptoms are worse.  This does sound menopause related, and if that's the case then there isn't a lot you can do other than either do HRT or wait it out.  You could increase your intake of soy products and other things with phytoestrogens, and see if that provides some relief, but you'll be running basically the same risks as with HRT.
