Hot flushes

I am 55, had a hysteretomy in 2003, been on HRT for 9 years, just come off it,now having terrible hot flushes and night sweats also mood swings just wondering how long they will last and is there anything I can take to alleviate them

HI,
Regular exercise, good healthy diet, and meditation will be of great help. Herbal medications are also available if you do not wish to take HRT. Certain medicines like clonidine can help tackle severe hot flushes. Consult your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
