How early can menopause begin...

I'm 28 years old. I've always had an irregular period, but over the past few years it has steadily gotten worse. As of now, it's just unpredictable. Also, I have been suffering from hot flashes & night sweats for over a year. They have become quite frequent over the past few months & are now occurring a few times a week. Among these things, I've also noticed that I become extremely emotional before & during my period and I have zero sex drive. I've been putting off going to the doctor (except for emergencies) since I do not have insurance. How possible is it that I am experiencing premature menopause?

Menopause usually doesn't happen that young. Or at least with all the women I know I have never heard it happening at that age. But irregular periods that is common or at least I have known many who have had that including myself. And yes it seems when women have irregular periods we do become emotional. My period stopped not to long ago at 51. I can't say that I miss it:)

Sometimes stress seems to make your menstral cycle worse and irregular or at least that is what I think... Stress does affect hormones so it would only stand to reason that stress could knock everything off kilter..

And yes low sex drive can happen when these things are going on....Try doing something that reduces stress and gets you away from the daily routine of life. I am sure at your age you have a lot going on. Take some time for yourself now and then in order to relax.
