Hyperplasia

there anyone who has had atypical hyperplasia, was it in the entire mucous membrane or only in a polyp? Did you try medicine or did you get surgey right away ? What say the last biopsies atypical or cancer ?

It looks like you've been seeking answers here for awhile. I'm sorry no one's responded.

I cannot speak from experience but I do know that hysterectomies are grossly overused in some countries. I had one that was totally unwarranted but did not have hyerplasia or cancer.

Did you get a copy of your biopsy(ies)? Is it simple atypical or complex atypical? If you do a web search for "conservative management of endometrial hyperplasia" you will find some detailed information regarding the condition and treatment options. One thing I noticed is that endometrial ablation is sometimes listed as an option but I've read that ablation should NOT be done when there's been hyperplasia or one is high risk for hyperplasia because an ablated lining (endometrium) can mask hyperplasia and cancer.

Please do your research and advocate for yourself before deciding how to proceed. Hysterectomy is a major life (and anatomy) altering surgery. I wish you the best in getting proper treatment!
