Hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy in March.  They took blood from me before going in the hospital.  Do they check for contagious diseases when they take your blood before going in the hospital?

Checking blood levels for contagious diseases usually isn't done routinely before a hysterectomy.  If you are worried you might have caught something recently, or that you might have a contagious disease, be sure to have your doctor test for it. There may be more to your question that we understand here and that is something you can also discuss with your doctor.
