Internal Vibrations or Tremors

I have been going through menopause since 2005 when I had my last period.  In 2008 I started to have severe hot flashes, up to 20 a day, and internal vibrations-tremors.  I also experienced dizziness, insomnia, chest pressure, etc.  At the same time I was going through hypothyroid issues after RAI therapy.

My question is, now that my thyroid issue seems to be under control from medication, I still have this internal vibration issue that at times is catastrophic.  It prevents me from sleeping and from feeling at rest.  My doctor prescribed Evamist which does get rid of the hot flashes, but not the vibrations.  Is it common to have this vibrating issue?

Hi!! I have had the similar "vibrations" usually worse at night when trying to get to sleep or awake me from sleep, sometimes during day. And yes, have terrible insomnia, dizziness, chest pain, ect.
What has helped me is getting thyroid stablized ( hypothryoid), and hormones checked. I am on bioidentical hormones which has greatly helped. It does take time to get levels adequate, no instant relief.
I would consider hormones checked and bioidentical hormone replacement ( google for drs in your area).
For me a glass of soy milk daily greatly helped  my hot flashes after a month of daily intake.
Good luck to you. This is not a fun time in our lives, but we will get thru it together. I felt so alone,I thought I was going crazy til I found info here. Hang in there, keep us posted on your news.
