Irregular Bleeding

Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas...
I have had irregular bleeding for 2 years now, I think I am going insane, it's so hard to take.
I have had a D&C and a hysteroscopy 1.5 years ago. They found the lining of my uterus was thick and said that would fix the problems. Nothing changed. They did another one 3 months ago, still nothing has changed. I change pads twice every hour. I am on primolut 2- three times a day.
I can not even remember the last time I did not have to wear a pad. I shower 4 times a day, just so I can have a rest from wearing pads. I have very bad thrush, very painful pelvic/pelvis pain and the normal cramps and aches from periods. I don't even know anymore when my period date is, as I have bleed for so long. My relationship broke up due to this, as I have become very emotional and depressed. I hate going anywhere and hide most of the time, as often I will flood and I never know where or when. Also my pelvis aches when I stand for to long. If my bleeding slow and I do try to have sex, if I orgasm I will bleed extra heavy and have even worse pelvis pain.
Does anyone have any idea's, as I feel my life is falling apart and no Dr seems to be able to help me.

:(...

Thank you for your reply. I have had a hysteroscopy and they said everything was fine.
They have me taking 2 Primolut every 2 hours that I am awake. somedays I take 22-24 a day. This is day 7 and I am still bleeding just as bad. They want me to do this until Feb and then go back and see them and they said, if I was still bleeding, they would burn the lining of my uterus. I am so over this, the cramps are shocking and I am just sick of bleeding. It's changed my life around and it's just distroying it :(

Irregular bleeding can be a very unpleasant but common experience in perimenopause. A D&C can remove the built up lining for a while, but the underlying uterine thickness will return if hormone imbalances are not corrected. Also, in situations such as yours, some women have a buildup of tissue called a polyp. Finally, after a while, the bleeding can lead to a low blood count and/or to a low iron level.
The best thing is to find a doctor who is used to treating this type of problem. He/she might suggest a hysteroscopy which is looking inside the uterus with a small telescope. That will see an polyps or other abnormal areas. They might want to put you on a very low dose birth control pill to keep the lining down. Also, some doctors recommend an IUD that secretes progesterone to help keep the lining thin. You could also have fibroids (benign muscle tumors) that increase bleeding. All of the causes should be treatable. In the meantime, go to the drugstore and buy some multivitamins and some iron tablets. Take the iron 2-3 times daily for at least 3 months.  Things should get better for you.
