Irregular periods

I am 45 yrs young, In the past year I have had several HEAVY periods. In Nov my period lingered for 2 weeks.I did not have one in Dec. This month I am going on my third week of period. The first week was very light and kinda looked brownish/red. Then my normal period for a week. Now its very light but still red.. Is this menopause???

At 45 there's a good chance that you're starting peri, and wacky periods are often one of the first signs. They can be heavier, lighter, longer or shorter than usual, or you might skip a few, or even have more than one in a month. It's crazy, and can sometimes last for years!
