Is severe back pain related to perimenopause?
I am 49 yrs old and have recently experienced a strange pain phenomenon that i am unable to identify. It is severe and incapacitating, occurring right before my period and has happened 3 or 4 times in the past year and a half. It is a vise-like pain that is completely unrelenting under my right shoulder blade and unrelieved by nsaids, heat therapy or exercise. i have had CT scans and vaginal ultrasounds that were normal. Is there increased premenstrual pain during perimenopause and what can I do to relieve it?
