MENOPAUSE

I am a 45 year old woman and I feel like **** most of the time. I have cysts on my ovaries that cause quite a bit of pain, I have learned to deal with it due to no insurance, so I cannot have surgery. I feel HOT most of the time, I do not have any interest in sex, I don't have any interest in anything for that matter. The doc I saw last year said I am too young for menopause but the more I read about it........ Is this the way life is going to be for the next 30 years? I am sooooo tired of feeling sick and tired!!

What you describe is exactly how I feel!
I'm 43, have no interest in sex right now, have hot flushes, still have periods and am feeling really anxious alot of the time and do not feel like myself.  I went to the gynecologist and she was GREAT.  She mentioned that I am going into peri-menopause and that all the symptoms I was describing were hormonal changes.  There are 2 things you can do:
1. either go on a low dosage hormonal pill to regulate the hormones and/or
2. take herbal supplements like evening primrose oil, black cohash, chaste berry, magnesium and vitamin B supplements.
Please talk with your gyneco, or find one who will listen and who is a woman and will understand.
Let me know who you go on?

Hello.  I will be 45 in about 3 and 1/2 months.  Same symptoms.

With a role of her eyes, My gyno. also said that I was too young and was not going through that (peri-menopause) change yet.

I told her my mom's periods ended completely when she was 43.  Then my gyno stated that since my mom went through it early, that it's very likely that I could be starting to go through changes.

Hi Ladies,
I'm in the same boat.  My Obgyn said that I was probably becoming perimenopausal even though I still get a monthly period.
Pick up the book,
"Is it hot in here or is it just me"
Its great
FYI - Exercise is helping me deal with many symptoms as well as the right supplements.  I hate excersise, but just walking at a moderate pace on at small incline is enough for now.

Yes, I found stretches and walking to be quite helpful.  Also, Flax Seed and/or extra virgin olive oil has been so effective in reducing the pain and discomfort associated with my periods, that I no longer need to use any over the counter pain medication.

The number one thing that has helped me the most is prayer.
