Menopause Issues

What would you recommend to me who is now in their 4th yr. of horrible hotflash's?  I have tried everything.  Everything from large dosages of Black Cohash to Creams to Homopathic (Sepia).  I am now experiencing anxiety along with the hotflash's.  I walk, eat fairly well, sleep fairly well.  Have a hyper personally and have gotten rid of alot of stress.  There is Ovarian Cancer in my family.  Any suggestions at all will be welcomed!!

I am thinking that the last post did not make it to you.  Thank you for your information. I have purchased some of the Wisdom Menopause and hope it will help.  I will also purchase the Primrose oil which I have not tried.  I will keep you posted.  Thank you again.  Renee

Hi Renee,

I would ask whether you’ve considered HRT, but with a history of ovarian cancer, that is probably out of the question. Many women say that they’ve done really well with black cohosh or soy supplements, but that’s the crazy thing about menopause issues, what works for some doesn’t seem to help others at all, so sometimes you have to hunt around until you find what works for you.

I’ve never tried soy or black cohosh, but both my sister and I have had wonderful results with Wisdom Menopause Formula. I had been on HRT for four months but had to quit because the side effects became unbearable. My knees and hips ached, and my breasts got so sore that I really started to worry that something bad was happening.

When I quit, the hot flashes and night sweats were crippling. I was desperate to find something that would help, and the WMF came highly recommended, so I ordered a bottle from Amazon. For me it started working almost immediately, and has not only taken care of the flashes and sweats, but has really helped with my anxiety, mood swings, and emotional issues, which is something that the HRT didn’t do.

My sister is 63, and had been suffering with this stuff for over 10 years. She is really excited with the difference it’s made for her, but it took a good two weeks before she really started seeing the difference.

Some other things that I’ve heard can be helpful are Vitex (chaste berry), **** quai and evening primrose oil. I’ve also heard that vitamin B-complex and vitamin D can help, especially with the emotional issues. Some women also say that St. John’s Wort is good for depression, but I’ve read that women who are taking hormones shouldn’t use it because it makes the hormones less effective.

I really hope you find something that will help.

Lisa
