Menopause and hemorrhoids
Hi, I want to know if menopause is a cause of hemorrhoids? About two months ago my hemorrhoid started acting up. No medicine has helped at all. I'm getting a colonoscopy this week and most likely will have to follow up with hemorrhoids surgery.  Menopause has turned out to be a nightmere.

thanks.

HI,
Menopause cannot be the cause of haemorrhoids. Haemorrhoids occurs independently and a minor problem which was present earlier might have manifested now and just a coincidence. Hence you must go ahead with the necessary treatment.
Hope this helps.
