Missed Period...Not Pregnant??

I'm 20 years old and in college. I went home to visit my mom and sisters right before my period at the end of September and for some reason I missed my period!! I usually get it at the start of the month. I've never missed a period before, so this was a big shock for me. Now it's the beginning of November and I still haven't gotten it. I know I'm not pregnant because I'm not sexually active, so what is the problme?

Thank you for responding! I went to my campus' health clinic and the nurse practitioner said I shouldn't worry about it...but I'm still really worried! I might get it checked out if by Thanksgiving I haven't gotten my period...

Would high stress levels cause me to miss two months? I've been feelings nauseous which is usually a sign of an anxiety attack for me. I also haven't been eating very well, so could it be anemia?

Hi,
Periods may get delayed once in a while because of various reasons other than pregnancy. It can be due to stress, change in environment, anaemia, unexplained or sudden weight gain or weight loss, hypothyroidism, and polycystic disease of the ovary. Progestins may help to get withdrawal bleeding. Consult your Doctor.
