No period for 2 months

No period for 2 months

I am a 22 year old, 5ft, 110lbs. I just had a baby 9 months ago. My period came a little over 6 weeks after having her (I was not nursing her). I then had 4 more regular periods. My cycle is a LOT longer than normal. When I got pregnant if I had a 28 day cycle, I would have conceived my daughter on March 20th 2006 but after my supposed 20 week US I was actually only 17 weeks pregnant and conceived her on April 8th 2006. I have only been menstrating since I was 17 1/2 years old. It used to be irregular but in the last year before I became pregnant it was every 4-6 weeks from my last day menstrating.

The last period that I had (that I can recollect) was in the middle of June. It was only 3 days long. My husband and I have unprotected sex without birth control as we are trying to have our second child within a year and 1/2 of our first child. I took an EPT test on the 21st of July. It was negative. I have only gained 1 lb, a few weeks ago I felt nauseated a few days around 6-7pm (but I personally think it is in my head due to the lack of periods recently) I don't really FEEL pregnant but the way that I knew I was pregnant with my daughter was a missed period. I had no symptoms at all other than a late period. SO....my question is:

Should I take another pregnancy test?
How serious does this seem, should I be concerned?
And should I see an OB/GYN b/c the one I used with my daughter is no longer practicing here in MI so I would have to see a total stranger and am uneasy about it?

It is always a good idea to get another pregnancy test, especially if you feel pregnant. Since you had a recent baby, you know what pregnant feels like. However, getting a doctor involved is a good idea. He/she might offer you some medication such as Clomiphene, that can help to regulate your cycles so you know when to try to conceive. There are also over the counter tests like the Fertility Monitor. It can measure both your LH and estradiol levels and give you a good idea when to try and conceive.
