Period after 1 1/2 yrs of stopping?

by P&SAF, Nov 01, 2009 09:35AM
51 years old, had my last period Mar 2008, confirmed by blood test that I am in menopause.  I finally get around to making an appt to get a bone density test, which my doctor says is a good idea for a baseline.  My appt is Mon 9th.  Couple of days ago I noticed a little bit of blood when wiping.  Today I noticed some on the underwear.  Is it normal to have a period after so long?  Am I really in menopause?  Not sure if I should cancel this test.  Menopause forum full up on the questions for the day?  Anyone out there experience a similar situation?  Not sure what to do.
