Septated cyst on right can't find left ovary?

I have posted a few times the past month.After getting all my results pap ok unertine biospy ok but 1 inch septated cyst on right ovary. Can't find left ovary. I am schduled for another U/S June 16th to check cyst again. I have made another appt with my ob/gyn for this Wed.I have pain in left ovary just like the right. I would like to insist on a cat scan or MRI of both ovaries.Am I right in thinking an effort should be made to find left ovary and more about both. I have low back pain and light cramps on and off. What questions should I be asking my doctor? I am post menopausal and hven't had a Ca 125 test either.I had light bleeding and spotting 3 weeks ago.

It is very good that all your results are OK and it is good you are having another ultrasound.  Many times cysts come and go and nothing has to be done.  It is also common not to be able to find one ovary or the other.  The ovaries get small after menopause and they are made of similar tissue to the surrounding organs so they are hard for the ultrasound to see.
