Sore ovaries

20 years following menopause and no injuries or changes in lifestyle recently, I find both ovaries are sore, kinda aching thruout the day and nite. Only has been occurring for 3 days, but thot I would check out any possible causes of this discomfort and how long I should wait until I go see my physician?

HI,
You should see your Doctor as soon as possible. This is because you are postmenopausal 20 years. Although the pain can be due to minor causes like gas and bloating, colitis etc, but major causes like ovarian cysts or cancer needs to be excluded. An ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis and a thorough examination is necessary.
Hope this helps.
