Test Results perimnopause

Ok so I got my blood test results back and this is what it came back at .......

FSH  is 45
LH is 21
Oestradiol is 64
Progesterone <0.5

So the doctor seems to think I am starting peri menopause stage and all he could offer me is to go on a low strength pill and do lots of walking. The only time I have ever been on the pill is when I was having chemo.
I really need some input into what do I take, should I take the pill, take nothing or see someone else?
Also I am 42 years old and had cancer when I was 38.

HI,
Dietary modification and regular exercise will suffice for most women in peri menopause. However if you are having distressing symptoms of hormone depletion, then only hormonal pills are indicated. Another option is natural or bio-medical hormone therapy, which mimics the natural hormones produced by the body. Hope this helps.
