To smoke or not to smoke

I am a healthy 48-year-old woman.  I have use marijuana lightly, but consistantly for 35 years.  I quit smoking 3 months ago and have not had a period since.  I know marijuana binds to estrogen receptors.  I believe not smoking caused the cessation of my period.  I had had only slight pre-menopausal symptoms before quitting.  If smoking causes my body to believe I still producing estrogen wouldn't that be a good thing (preventing all those bad side-effects of not having estrogen).  Also, since I quit smoking my mid-section increased by 2 inches almost overnight.  Does all this have something to do with cortisol levels?  Seriously, I have never had any ill effects from smoking marijuanna.  I have a good memory, can easily learn new material, and never get so much as even a cold. What are your thoughts?
