I have been menopausal for 3 years. I have a small uterine polyp, which was discovered by TV ultrasound for workup after 3 day episode of vaginal bleeding (only spotting). My doctor says it doesn't need to come out. HOwever, from what I"ve read, it's a good idea to remove them to prevent them from becoming cancerous, if you are postmenopausal. THe doctor says it doesn't need to come out because the endometrial biopsy was negative, and the something else (endometrial wall?) was thin. She will take it out if I want it out. Now I'm not sure what to do. Would greatly appreciate any insights on this dilemma..
