Vaginal dryness

I was instructed to stop taking my Premarin (lowest dose), for 6 months at a time for fear of Heart related issues.  I have done it before, but experience dryness.  I had my hysterectomy in 03 (I'm 46), and haven't had intercourse now for almost two years (for several reasons).  For whom this concerns; I've been suggested to try premarin creams, but how often do I use it and do they work?

Yes, if you have vaginal dryness, these over the counter remedies can be used daily just to keep vaginal tissues moist.  It doesn't have to be for intercourse only. :)

Is it just for intercourse?  Other women mention they use it on a regular basis during sex or not.

I haven't had the need to use those, but I'll take them into consideration.  Thanks.

I believe that the cream is used daily and contains a small amount of hormone (but, I could be wrong and am hoping that someone else will answer this post....bumping this one up! :)).

Have you tried plain old over the counter lubricants such as KY Jelly or Astroglide?  There's also "Replens".  It's used once every 2 to 3 days and is longer lasting.  No hormones in any of these.  :)
