It is common to have a heavy bleed with clots when long term bleeding is treated. However, why it is happening is not clear from your note. You might talk with your doctor about checking the lining of the uterus with an endometrial biopsy - an office test that removes a few cells from the lining of your uterus. Your doctor might also do an ultrasound of your pelvic organs or look inside the uterus with a telescope called a hysteroscopy. Consider taking iron, 1-2 tablets daily for at least 3 months along with a multivitamin as you might be low in blood or iron due to constant bleeding. Your thyroid hormone could also be off or you could have fibroids or other reason. To answer if this is normal first requires an evaluation.
