advice on loestin 24/fe

Hi! Was hoping for some advice. I've been talking to my gyno the past 2 months regarding my period that starts every 20 days. Today I went for a visit and he prescribed the loestrin 24/FE. I'm 45 yo and have been battling terrible mood swings, anxiety, along with my cycle of 20 days. can anyone provide any advice if this birth control pill will help with these symptons? Also has anyone had weight gain or other symptons they've run into while on this bcp?

When I took birth control, it solved all of the symptoms you describe here. My drug of choice was the injection, taken every three months, forget the name but stopped my periods almost completely as well as all other symptoms. It was wonderful.
