anxiety over taking a shower

I am going through menopause and have htn and hypothyroidism.  Since all of this happened, I have to fight myself to take a shower.  I used to take 1-2 a day and now I can go for a few days before I FIGHT MYSELF TO TAKE ONE.  once in the water I am fine, just to get there is the problem.  Can you help?

It is unclear why you are having a difficult time taking a shower. Perhaps the shower reminds you of something you are not consciously aware of. It sounds like it might be a good idea to talk with a mental health person to discuss this anxiety and see if together you can get to the source of it. There is a likely explanation, and once you've found it, the problem will likely disappear.
