are these early signs of menopause?

Dear Dr., .i am almost 42 years old. i have heavy bleeding since about January 5th this year. before january the last time i had the menustrial cycle was december 5 2008. usually my cycle start within about 25-26 days. since january bleeding started slowly then the amount of bleeding increased. after 2 1/2 weeks i went to the doctor. the doctor cheked me for pregnancy (urine test) but it was negative.the same day the doctor also did a pathology test( using a stick inside the womb) but it was negative as well.then she gave me birth control pills(homorne tablets).but it didn't work. heavy bleeding continued to increase. then i went to another doctor and he started homorne therapy but the bleeding still continues. also before a long time ago and i still do have 2 fibroids( 3mm each).i had hyperthyroidism and i got treatment for it 5 years ago. What do you think is my problem?are these early signs of menopause or something else?
