bladder pain

bladder pain

when I was a child i was punished and locked in my bedroom at night, I wasn't alowed to use bathroom at night. If I had an accident I was punished.  So I learned at 5 years old how to hold my urin over night. So now I'm 33 years old and I hold it for a long time without even thinking about it.  I have noticed when i wake up in the morning i have a horribly painful urge to go to the bathroom, when I sit down it take some time to start the urin going. After I'm done I have an overwelming pain in my lower abdomin (abdomen) and my lower back.  Is this a kidney stones and long term damange to my urinary track?

I am sorry to hear of your growing up experience. It must have been quite terrible and unfortunately, it is still having an effect. Try going to see a Urogynecologist. They deal with these types of problems. It does not sound like you have a kidney stone. You could have a urine/bladder/kidney infection or another type of problem with your urinary tract. Talk with a Urogynecologist. They should be able to help you.
