could this be serious????

Hello
I had my tubes tied on 5/15/05. Everything has been normal until now. I stay hot. I had serious hot flashes at night. I am moody most of the time. I have very little sexual interest. I missed my period this month ( for the 1st time in 2 years).... could this be serious?
I did take an pregnancy tes last week, and it was negative. Would could be wrong?

If your periods have been the same for two years after your tubes were tied, any changes now are not likely due to that. The fact that you are having hot flashes and moody and have a lower sex drive could be due to lower hormones caused by perimenopause. Talk with your doctor about your symptoms and about having a blood test done for FSH and Estradiol, and possibly for testosterone.  Your doctor might also want to check your thyroid hormones. Many other things from depression to other types of illnesses can cause your symptoms. The most likely is perimenopause; to be safe, see  your doctor. Most likely it won't be a serious cause.
