crying right now.

I have been crying my eyes out for reasons I cannot explain.  I feel like a crazy woman.
I am 55.  My only daughter moved 5 states away. I sold my house of 23 years. I retired after working 37 years at the same company.  I am sure I am going thru menopause along with all of these other Life Changes.  Just wanting to hear from other women who may be having mood swings/crying due to menopause.  Perhaps some ideas on how to keep this under control.  I pray constantly.  When I lay down I list all the things I am blessed with / thankful for.  I do finally fall asleep but wake up in the morning crying.

Hi, sweetheart.  Go to the doc and get your hormones checked.  Changes in hormone levels can really turn on the waterworks.  Then see what he or she recommends.  Once when my life was changing too much and too fast, I saw my nurse practitioner, and she prescribed a light dose of antidepressant for just six months along with counseling, and explained the antidepressant by saying that my problems would not go away but at least I wouldn't be crying all the time.  It was pretty funny.
